|Our yoga teacher training is driven from the traditional yoga lineage; Baba Hari Dass’s teaching. Our lead trainer is trained around the globe and had studied various styles of yoga with highly recognized yoga teachers.|
|Our training center is in the Hamlet of Etna, CA. One hour north is Ashland Oregon, the Shakespear Theater capital and one hour south is Mount Shasta, CA. The training is being provided as a commuting training style allowing students to roam, absorb their learning, and apply the wisdom to daily life.|
|Etna CA provides the YUKO YOGA community a safe and gentle region to grow as yoga teachers and practitioners. As fellow yogis, all support and guide each other for life. We are surrounded by mountains, clean water, and fresh air.|
Who can participate in the 200 hour yoga teacher training?
Our training curriculum is designed for and welcomes both experienced and beginner yoga practitioners who aspire for learning yoga wisdom systematically and sharing developed wisdom with their community. The students who complete YUKO YOGA (YY) Training will be awarded the 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate and confidence with the life-long skill to teach yoga to others.
What you will learn…
YUKO YOGA teacher training provides the intricate knowledge of yoga combined with specific teaching details. Our yoga instruction will include basic and advanced developmental yoga skills. The foundation of yoga starts with yoga philosophy. This information will be core to our teacher training. We will then focus on yoga poses, breathing exercise, meditation technique, and overview of the history of yoga. In addition to these basics, students will be provided restorative yoga, Ayurveda essential knowledge, introductory Sanskrit pronunciation to enrich their yoga practice and their teaching. The training will be offered in person with minimal online access. (The training will be proceeded complying with the federal and local health and safety regulations.) The students will also learn hands-on assisting technique and how to deliver yoga classes online.
During YUKO YOGA teacher training, the students will earn the knowledge of teaching techniques based on the anatomic and energetic body and mind mechanism with clear and ethical communication.
YY students will learn how to practice and teach sadhana with the method taught by Baba Hari Dass-ji and learn the overview of Yoga Sutra and Bhagavad Gita based on Samkhya philosophy.
Chanting, mantras, and other esoteric yoga practice are included in the training which are taught by Baba Hari Dass who is a yoga monk from India, but our training and teaching will not solicit any religion, political group, or philosophical group.
YY teacher training does not affiliate with Mount Madonna Center and their associate organizations who share Baba Hari Dass’s teaching.

YUKO YOGA TRAINING CENTER
Our teaching methodology is “down-to-earth”, developed over 20 years with the goal of empowering communities. The teachings are applicable to any demographic. Yuko Matsuda-Peluso, Lead trainer and principal of YUKO YOGA teacher training, learned hatha yoga and Raja Yoga including prenatal yoga with Baba Hari Dass and his disciples. The teaching and practice techniques are influenced by Dr. Vasant Lad for Ayurveda, Cyndi Lee for Restorative Yoga, Yoga Arts by Louisa Sears and Anusara Yoga for asana practice, and Yoga Ed. for Children’s yoga. Yuko taught yoga internationally in various geography and demography. Through the experiences of teaching yoga for various demographics in Tokyo, Japan, and a small town, Etna, CA, she cultivated her teaching skills and formulated a yoga business practice that can apply to different environments. The techniques of practicing and teaching shat karma, asana, pranayama, and meditation are based on Baba Hari Dass’s philosophical teaching and internationally renowned hatha yoga teachers in Iyengar and Ashtanga vinyasa yoga lineage.

|Q. I have never practiced yoga with YUKO YOGA. Can I still participate in 200-hour yoga teacher training with YUKO YOGA?|
|A. Yes. All yoga practitioners are welcome to our teacher training. |
|Q. What time does each training date start?|
|A. The training starts at 8 am and closes at 8 pm each day,|
|Q. How is the size of a group in the teacher training?|
|A. The available space for the training is limited. The maximum number of the training group is four persons.|
|Q. What is included in the tuition?|
|A. 200 hours of in-person yoga training and a digital teaching handbook and textbook. For your enrollment, a 500.00 USD deposit is required. Then, the final invoice of 1,500.00 USD will be issued to your registered email address before the training starts. The tuition does not include digital tools to view the textbook, meals, travel expenses or accommodation.|
|Q. Is there a final examination to complete the training (for graduation)?|
|A. Students will have some quizzes and presentations to make sure all students feel confident about their newly acquired information throughout the training. The final examination is a practice teaching to other students and the trainer. Don’t worry! You will be given many resources and training for practice teaching. |
|Q. Can I take the whole training online?|
|A. Not at this time. But you will have approx. 30 hours of online training for certain topics such as Ayurveda and Sadhana Practice.|
