Q1. I am new to yoga. Can I take YUKOYOGA class?
A1: You are welcome to any class. To practice safely and beneficially, please contact us prior to attending your first yoga class with us. Private class is also available. CONTACT US
Q2. My body is stiff. Can I take a class?
A2: You don’t need to worry whether your body is stiff, or weak. Yoga is for regulating your physical body and finding your potential along the practice. In fact, the more stiff you feel, the more visible change you get from regular yoga practice!
Q3. Do I need to book a class?
A3: The seats are limited. Please call/text Yuko at 530-340-5701 or email [email protected] to reserve and confirm your spot for each class. We recommend to book or cancel your attendance 12 hours prior to the class. There is no cancel fee.
Q4. What would be the time I should arrive in the class room?
A4: It would be better you have a few minutes to relax and prepare yourself before the class starts.
Q5. What should I bring to the class?
A5: Please bring your yoga mat.
Q6: What should I wear?
A6: Yoga is usually practiced with barefoot. Clothing should be comfortable and not restrict movement. If you prefer wear socks, please consider non-slip/skid socks.
Q7. Is yoga religious?
A7. Yoga is not religious. It’s an ancient method established in India. You may find Indian philosophy and mythology in the practice but you don’t worship any presences or figures in Etna Yoga / YUKO YOGA class.
Q8. What kind of paying methods are available?
A8: Paypal, Venmo, Checks and cash are accepted. For checks, please payable to Yuko Peluso. Our pricing is on Price Menu Page; click here.
Q9. Can I eat before class?
A9. Eating food too much before class may disturb your condition. Please eat light or make sure to eat your meal 2-3 hours before you take a class.
Q10: Can I practice yoga during the menstruation cycle?
A10: It’s recommended not to practice yoga on first 2-3 days of menstruation cycle. Creating too much heat in your body is not helping your condition during the cycle. If you decide to practice during the cycle, avoid intense practice especially inversion and strong twist.
Q11: Is it okay to practice yoga during the pregnancy?
A11: Please consult your doctor if yoga helps your pregnancy. If doctor gives you GO-SIGN for yoga, we recommend to join the pre-natal yoga class. When you don’t find available pre-natal class, tell your instructor about your condition when you book a class.
Q12: Are there yoga mats available to rent?
A12: We have a few yoga mats available for free. We recommend bring your own for your comfort.
Q13: Is there a shower in the studio?
A13: There is no shower in the studio. Although YUKOYOGA offers class in regular temperature not “hot yoga”, recommend to bring a towel especially in the hot weather.
Q14: who is welcome to join yoga class?
A14: men, women and children who understand public code ;).
Q15: I am new to yoga and not sure I want to be a yoga teacher. Can I participate in 200-hour yoga teacher training?
A15. Yes. All yoga practitioners are welcome to our teacher training. Our 200-hour yoga teacher training is a great way to establish your yoga practice and deepen your yoga practice.
Q16. I have never practiced yoga with YUKO YOGA. Can I still participate in 200-hour yoga teacher training with YUKO YOGA?
A16. Yes. All yoga practitioners are welcome to our teacher training.
